The plantar fasciitis was still bothering me, the morning of the 8th. I decided to take the bus. Unfortunately I was caught up in taking pics on my way to the bus stop, and I got near it only to see the bus sailing on by (I wasn't *that* near; there was no way the driver could have seen me....).
Sigh.
My foot wasn't *that* uncomfortable, so I decided to walk to work rather than walking back home and asking for a ride (next bus not for half an hour....).
Bad idea.
I was ok about half the way to work, and then my foot started really hurting.
By the time I got to work my foot was seriously unhappy, and I was visibly limping.
Sigh!
GOTTA get some new shoes.................
Phlox through the fence.
Phlox closeup with shadows.
Russian sage.
Seasonal decorations.
Wet maple leaf.
Some sort of brassica, I do believe.
Peonies and hostas.
Looking west on Arborview.
I don't know if this is two varieties of the same plant, or if the flowers change color as they age, or what.
Hydrangea. Hydrangeas are definitely growing on me.

Another mystery plant.
More leaves. Can't get enough...............

golly, REAL autumn. It comes so slowly and so nearly imperceptibly here in Phoenix.
Thanks for your suggestion on my blog re: fostering a mama-to-be cat. GREAT idea. GREAT!
I love the change of seasons......
It's been so frustrating the last week or so to know it was a bad idea to walk (because my foot already hurts!), but to also know that the color is so fleeting..........
You are most welcome for the fostering idea. That way it's all good. You help a mama in desperate need, you get to have the baby kitties and watch them grow, and you have not made the world more crowded.......
Have you seen the ittybittykittycommittee blog? I should have thought to send you there........ She takes in one litter after another, sometimes with the mamas, sometimes without.....
