This morning we took several bags of stuff to the Kiwanis thrift store. Slowly, slowly, progress is being made.
Then we went to the farmers' market. We didn't tarry, as one of us was inappropriately dressed for the temp and wind, but I had to get a shot of this.
When we got home, I was preparing a snack but I got distracted. (Doesn't everyone walk away from doing something mundane because they need to take a pic right then, right that very moment?)
Isn't it cool and mysterious? And because it is at our house, there is a dog hair on it....

EVERYTHING is better with dog hair on it! At least that's what my dogs tell me! :) When you get done cleaning out your basement...could you come to my house? I have a couple of rooms that REALLY need attention! :) You're an inspiration!
Amazing how that undercoat can waft through the air and land on ... anything and everything!
Tell you what -- it's a lot easier to throw out someone else's junk than your own. If you are serious about having someone in to get rid of your stuff for you, just ask one of your friends, and then go to a movie. :-) If you hang around while they are doing it, I guarantee you will see a million things you "need".............
:-)
Bemused by the idea that I could be an inspiration ... if you only saw what it really looks like.....
Most of the house isn't too bad, but the basement and the "sewing" room are. Too bad. Very bad. Very bad indeed. Sigh.
I am holding to the thought that it has to go. Sooner or later. And -- I don't want it to be so much later that my daughter is saddled with it...........
I have told her "just put a match to it," but somehow I don't think she actually would. Legalities aside......
Someone who, coincidentally enough, had just had a serious flood in the basement told me that if she wouldn't save it if it were in the basement soaking wet, it should just go. Now. While it was dry and didn't smell all that bad......
Sounds like a good criterion to me....
