Look what I got! Mary Ann, at Dispatch from LA, pulled numbers out of a hat to give away some zines. The zines are cool enough, but look how they arrived!
Doesn't Mary Ann have a lot of cool stuff, and doesn't she turn it into even cooler stuff???
I feel very lucky to have a Mary Ann original. :-)
Also lucky to receive these! I spent several hours yesterday, immersed in zinery, and will spend several more.

vicki - i picked up that paper at a tiny mom&pops store on my last day in the amalfi coast. never looked all the way through it, then grabbed it to wrap the packages and there was FRIDA. who knew???
your photo of the apple in the post below this one is unbelievably cool.
What a cool surprise! She has become such an iconic figure..... I like that she's all pink/red -- she seems like such an intense presence that it makes sense that she should have intense color.....
Thanks! I cut the apple in half, and removed the loose seeds from the two seed openings I had bisected, and then, looking at those two seeds back in there, I just had to stop and take a pic.
My husband came downstairs, and walked through the kitchen, and found half an apple on a plate with a knife....... He finished coring that half and walked on out to the family room where I was finishing up my food styling.....
