I said the clump of grass on Murray Ave. was large, but this one dwarfs it.
Ivy on the rocks.
Another excellent downtown planter. This one is not near a parking lot or parking structure.
Schlenker's was a family-owned hardware store for decades. The kind where you could buy one screw and the washer for it. Eventually they just couldn't compete with the stores on the outskirts, which have more parking, more square footage, etc. I believe the building is a dwelling, now.
In another planter, just a bit up the hill from the prev -- fuzzy coleus? That's sure what it looks like, but I've never seen fuzzy coleus.....
Love the colors, and the shadows on that smooth green planter.
Too chilly for anyone to want to drink their coffee outdoors, but perfectly pleasant for walking.
Love the curve, love the brickwork, love the tree shadow.....
We are looking down at the support for a sign post, in front of the post office. Is that excellent texture, or what?
Here is our trusty hydrangea in front of the library, still entertaining us with its variety.
Speaking of variety, this leaf, and all three in the next pic are from the red redbuds in front of the library.
Oak and maple.
Just oak. Upside down and rightside up.
Locust, glowing in the sun.
