December. There are actually five red cars in this pic. The one in the middle is really orange. The barely-visible one sandwiched between the black one and the silver one is red.

I have to say...the red car neighborhood posts blow me away.

The first time I saw one, I sort of did a "nah" kind of denial thing.
Then I kept seeing them and went through the "surely they don't do that on purpose" phase.
Then I thought, "A-ha! She pays them to do that!"
Now I have come to full acceptance, and of course everyone is going to get a new blue or green car for Christmas.

:-) :-) -- and -- they BETTER NOT lose any of the red cars until after March!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need the red ones until I've done 12 months!!!

I took the first pic because I was amused to see so many red cars.

Then I decided to keep doing it.

I do wait for my moment, as each of the red cars belongs to a family which has multiple vehicles, the rest of which are not red.....

I'm trying to get some seasonal weather, to go with my "turning the calendar pages" scheme, and then I try to get as many red cars as possible in my pic.....

July is my fave; that random red car driving up the hill just as I snapped off the pic..... :-)

ps -- our little car is blue.... :-) I wanted orange (duh!) but it didn't come in orange..... Alas.

I didn't pick the red, for that matter. I had thought I wanted light green, but then it turned out that light green only came with an interior I have to call chintz-like. Pink, green..... It wanted antimacassars.

SOooooooooooooo not me.

I didn't want any of the other colors, so the hub and the kid picked red.

I have no idea what anyone else's excuse is............

Ha! You said antimacassars! Ha!

I love that word. It sounds so much more macassar-y than "doily".

So you don't pay them, you know... the red car people?

"Antimacassar" is definitely an excellent word. Especially as it is so rarely usable nowadays. The surprise of hearing it makes it even better.... :-)

And, you are right, I do not pay them. :-)

I am not even sure they are aware that I'm taking the pics, or if they see me taking the pics, they probably figure I've got some nefarious purpose, rather than simple amusement.... :-)

The red car people probably think you're an insurance claims adjuster, and all the people that were perpetrating insurance fraud have straightened up their act, and are leading honest, productive lives...
or not.

Could be. Or maybe they think I'm gathering evidence against them for some other purpose.... I'm not sure it's obvious that I'm taking pics of the cars. I'm far enough away that they could think I'm taking pics of any number of things.

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk........
