The University Second Life community puts on brown bags on Fridays. Today we were shown various educational things, including big white boards on which one can show slide shows.
The presenter gave me $L5, enabling me to buy my own copy of the whiteboard -- my very first purchase involving the transfer of funds.
Here she is as we chat after the session -- wearing the first thing to hand when she got ready.
Here we are, looking at the whiteboard and learning how to put images on it for our slideshow.
She gave us landmarks (like bookmarks, only for locations in SL) to go to the place to buy the whiteboards. You can see the other participants who were still around for this part of the session. The whiteboard is in that "metalab" box.
After the session, I saw the reflection on the water, and walked down to the edge. I am so dark you can hardly tell I am there (you can see my hands at the bottom of the image), but here's the moon.............
This was the first time I was with anyone other than a rank newbie. It helps when the people you're with have some clue about what to do, how to do it, etc!
