walking home, Jan. 22

.

I didn't leave work right at 5:00, and it was still this light by the time I got to the block of Washington between Ashley and First. This is my best opportunity for Big Sky -- parking lots on both sides.....

A lot of this was jet trails. Maybe all.....

Rusty wall. Last summer Drew Barrymore's movie people were parked in the lot which is just on the other side of this wall.

Gotta love these ornamental grasses, with their curvy leaves.

Mmmmm. Tried to show you this one several times last summer, but I could never get the seeds. Against this plain snow background I am more successful.

I took pics of this, and wasn't sure I was getting anything (all I could see on the tiny screen was dark against light).

Happy sigh.

Poster edges.

This is the first time I've walked home three days in a row for months. It's good. Though the increasing daylight means I stop more often to take pics and don't get as much of a cardio workout............

Love the seed head (coneflower?)
It has a very iconic shape.

And love your eye for the rusty wall. Anyone else would have seen a rusty wall.

Iconic, yes. Looks Aztec. Or something......

Twas the pattern of the rust.... I didn't linger to determine WHY it was in that pattern..... Looks musical to me...........

Thank you, ma'am, for the kind words. :-)

It's a very sun-looking motif.

I am trying to remember -- I walked by here all summer long, and I don't think there were coneflowers here. I think there were black-eyed susans.

Similar.............. Now I am hot to see what there is, come summer, in this location...........
