I mentioned that the camera found it hard to deal with the distance across the pool and the backlighting.
This pic was quite blurry even before I water-colored it. It makes me think of a contemporary Degas's dancers backstage.
We tried some new restaurants this time. Given the construction, we had to go a roundabout way.
Here is where we had lunch. The people were nice, the service was fast, the food was not extra-special but was good.
This is what the ceiling looks like.
NOFO on Liz is on the way to the Mint Museum (was mint, now art museum).
You can see how nice a day it was. Tshirts, flipflops, and plenty of sunshine.
They have a lot of ceramics.
A lot of pre-Columbian ceramics.
Love the textures and colors. Wonder what colors she was, originally.....
Dude with monster hat.
"What?"
"And then I sez to him 'Joe,' I sez, 'like I tolt you a hunnert times before....'"
(Don't you want to know what was once fastened to all those holes in his head?)
They have a *lot* of stirrup pots.
I think these birds have an Egyptian look. Each resting it's beak on the bum of the previous one, as they swim round and round and round.
I'd never before seen any flat/square pots from pre-Columbian America.
One last pot.
They also have textiles.
I'd never heard of these.
Isn't it cool?
Hat.
