On the 8th I was dropped at the library to return some books and pick up some more books that were on hold. I also picked up some CDs.
(My office is generally a very quiet place, but on the 7th someone had been reading some cards in the next room. [Yes, really, reading data off "IBM cards."] The card reader is rumblynoisy. I could feel the vibration as well as hearing it, and it drove me crazy. I finally found California Dreamin' on youtube, put on my headphones, turned it up loud, and played it over and over and over for about an hour. My throat was sore, from singing along............... I was determined that I'd have some CDs to listen to, on the 8th, to block out the card reader.)
Spring in Ann Arbor.
Note red tree at top.
Here's what's red. Really red. RED.
Maple flowers.
The CDs I picked up from the library worked excellently well as a charm against Excessive Noise. No card reading was done. Hallelujah.
Now we're on the way home.
This forsythia is way ahead of all the rest. I haven't seen a hint of yellow on any forsythia, yet here is this one, in full bloom.
More Red.
The camera adamantly declined to focus on the near twig. Humph. I decided to show this one, anyway.
Dutch iris.
Love the purple, but I am not sure I'm in favor of the tiger thing going on down the middles of the petals.
Breezy sky, with library and Tower Plaza.
Mmmmmm. *Color.*
After all the grays, browns, grays, grays, browns, and grays of the last several months, I am drawn to color like iron to a magnet.
Squill, around the base of a small tree.
Crocus.
Big new house at the entrance to West Park.
I surely hope I notice when they have an open house for this one. I would really like to see what it looks like when they are done. (And I still wonder how many people who want a house this big will be ok with no garage!)
Squill, with spent maple flowers.
