SL -- yet more Kennesaw

.

Walking around, with a keen eye peeled for not-totally-visible delights.

Clearly it's time for a bit more under-water exploration.

Sitting inside the stained-glassy thing, looking at the sea turtles and dolphins swimming by.

See the other pavilion thing in the top pic in this post?

Here I am, seated inside that space.

Leaving the pavilion, walking along, finding a meditation space by some giant sea anemones.

I decided to walk out of the water, rather than flying up out of it.

What's this?

This is just Wrong.

I could supposedly move the sheep, and did manage to scoot it around just a little, but couldn't manage to get it out of the water, alas............ I probably didn't know how to move it properly to get it out...............

I abandoned the sheep to its fate (it didn't seem distressed, and alternated between this posture and a grazing posture), and walked on out of the water.

Looking back whence I came.

Walking along the shore, I find a place to sit and watch the waves. This animation had me kicking my legs.....

I wheeled the camera out over the sea to get another look.

And accidentally put the camera under the surface of the water. [tee hee]

Here's what we were looking at in the prev, with the camera just a bit higher........

This is better. Sheep, in its more natural habitat.

Me, with the Prince of Frogs, contemplating his pond.

On top of a mountain. That sort of spiraly gray thing you can make out on the right is a lighthouse. Later we will stand on top of the lighthouse and look back up at this mountain.

At this point, I went and listened to another "using virtual worlds in education"
presentation. The speaker was Israeli and talked about using games and game-making to engage girls with computers and programming.

It worked. :-)

Here we are in the lighthouse I looked down at above. Excellent rug for a lighthouse, don't you think?

On top of the lighthouse. Looking back at the mountain as the sky lightens.

Dawn.

In SL you can walk right up very steep hills. You can see from the position of my feet that this is pretty steep.

Snow. At dawn, in Georgia's March spring air.

After all that, I need some refreshment, don't you think?

Daintily enjoying my treat.

The angle and my hair prevent us from seeing clearly, but it surely looks like I am more likely to be inhaling ice cream than eating it........

I found a place to teleport ... somewhere.

I ended up on this platform WAY up high. I walked down through a rainbow tube and a hollow ball.

From the ball, I jumped.

I need to keep remembering to look up. I never would have seen this, without specifically looking for it after I came down.....

And with that, we will leave Kennesaw, for the nonce. So far it is my very favorite place in SL. Something to see and do around every corner. Excellent builds, engaging animations, eye candy everywhere.

Happy sigh.

I'll be back.
