Hanging out on the couch with dad.
He can't get up by himself, but will come poke me with his nose so I know he wants something, and if he's been out recently, it's probably "Up!" that he wants.
Difficult light. I pointed at one of the sunny patches, and held the shutter release half-way down to hold that focus and exposure, then moved the camera to frame the shot I wanted. I'm satisfied with the result. I think it's almost always better to go for too dark rather than too light. At least in my experience, there's usually *some* data in the dark regions, but the too-light ones mostly are just burned out with no info at all. This one has not been 'shopped at all.
Doesn't everyone's desk look like this?
I can't turn over the shell to show you the pretty side, because I don't want to lose the sand inside.....
It was in a shoe found in the closet cleaned out yesterday.
