Red and green sapling (walnut, I think) with shadows, against stone foundation.
Something has been smelling very good on my walks home. I don't know that locust trees are fragrant, but I suspect they are. These tiny green flowers would be easy to miss, looking around for the source of the scent. Once I started trying to identify it, I noticed I was under or downwind of a locust each time. (I haven't seen any that are within reach so I can tell for sure.....)
I've been meaning to show you what this looks like as you walk along.
Love that the camera lets me get close enough to see that all of this is happening! Kind of like a slow magnifying glass -- once I get home and get the pics up on the "big screen".....
Geranium.
West on Washington, beside our favorite parking lot.
This woman was wearing nice clothes, sitting on the rough wooden retaining wall, doing something on her laptop. I don't suppose I'd have paid any attention to her, had she been in jeans and tennies.
Like the tree shadows.
Another nice day!
I often wonder, when I see jet trails, who is on the plane, and where they are going and what their worries and anticipations are........
Does this seem contrived? I was sort of enjoying the way the wall looked, sighting right down it. The texture of the brick, the arches over the windows.....
Alium.
We've enjoyed the colors at the Burnt Toast Inn before. Here they are, being refreshed.
Still heading west on Washington. Most of the way home is west, and I often do most of the westering on Washington.
Iris.
Peony.
Iris. Loving that squat square container of chartreuse whatever with the tall greens and purples of the iris.
Look at the leaf in the lower left corner! The curves.........
Nice, eh?

I am convinced that Ann Arbor is the most color aware place on earth. The way folks paint their houses is inspiring, the plant combinations are beautifully thought out.
Nice, always, to see.
Be proud, Ann Arbor. Nice job.
Well, of course, I'm not showing you everything................... :-) :-)
A lot of boring ones, too........
:-)
But lots of nice ones. We keep driving down streets I don't walk, and I want to shout "Stop! Let me out!!! I have to take pics here!"
:-)
