Peony, in the strong late-afternoon sun.
Milkweed. I love this stuff....
Spiky purple stuff, with coral bells and shadows.
Walnut tree and its shadow, west end of West Park.
Mock orange. We had a large mock orange shrub beside our screened porch when I was a kid. They smell wonderful.
Backlit peony.
Peony.
Iris.
The yellow veins on the paler petal, which really approached white right near the caterpillary thing.......
Clematis.
Lettuce! The people who own it should eat it already! It gets bitter when it gets too big and old!
Siberian Iris.
We have admired this house and its embellishments several times. Note windowbox.
Nice, eh?
The house above is one away from the corner. The corner house faces east, as does the house with the excellent flower box. Those houses have deep back yards.
When we walk up the hill on the north end of the block, we can see past the corner house's yard to the window-box house's yard.
Their back yard also receives attention......
