We bought marigold plants at the farmers' market some weeks ago.
I finally managed to get them planted. I removed all the current flowers to make the little plants' adjustment to the planters easier. This dish of water and flowers is a very flat bouquet.
I love the smell of marigolds.

I cannot smell marigolds or tomatoes without thinking of my Grandfather.
He was green thumbs up to the elbows.
I remember the smell of marigolds from my childhood, too.........
