Evergreen, on a blue, blue day.

Urban thistle.

Chicory.

Another look at dusty.

Daylily. I'm deciding I quite like dark red and gold velvety ones.

All the rest of these have been poster-edged.
Larkspur.

Canna.

Love the curls.

Bachelor buttons. Their spare spiky blueness is a nice contrast to lusher hotter-colored flowers.

Spirea.

What an outstanding photo of the canna leaf (the closeup). Print and frame that one! :) Very artsy!
Isn't it amazing what you can see and find when you just take a closer look?
(And I saw the "World Nutella Day" on the sidebar of the blog. I'll have to join in next time. It's a habit I picked up when I was stationed in Germany)
Thanks! My camera really prefers to focus on a contrasty line (it loves zebras....), so whether it will manage to focus on a canna leaf is up to luck, I think. So when I get a good shot, I am very pleased. :-)
I agree so much about taking a closer look. I am always surprised by new things I notice (those red locust pods!) along my familiar ordinary path......
Taking more pics has definitely encouraged me to *look*.....
My daughter introduced me to Nutella. I love it......... :-) I usually spread it on graham crackers.........
A good thing they don't have the kilo jars of it here.........
:-)
