stenciling

Here's a way to use Photoshop Elements to alter an image you might want to turn into a stencil, so you can print without using a gallon of ink.

A filled-in image.



In the "filters" menu, find the "stylize" submenu, choose the "find edges" option, and voila.

This works well when the contrast is cranked way up ("enhance" "lighting" "levels" -- bring the black and white sliders right to the middle in the upper slider thing).
