Again it's not actually *cleaning*, but rather house "progress"............
We went to IKEA on Sept. 4, and bought a bunch of cabinets, chairs, and a small table.
The couch we wanted was out of stock. We bought the cover we wanted, so they wouldn't be out of that when the frame came in.....
On the 7th, we discovered that they had the couch frames, so we went back.
We're getting to be pros at taking the seats out of the minivan and putting them back......
We weren't the only ones at IKEA.

They advertise these covers as "washable," but I wonder how often people are actually willing to disassemble the entire couch to get the cover off? (This would be why I went for a dark color; I know how often *we* are likely to be willing to do so!)
Putting these covers on is a serious amount of work (yet another reason that taking them off to wash them is not likely to happen). For them to fit tightly and neatly, they have to be a bit smaller than the landscape they cover. It's noticeably *work* to get them on, and then there is a lot of futzing to get the seams to all line up, etc, etc, etc. They could have done two lines of sewing to keep the velcro on, too. That would have helped. So that's my tip for the day -- if you buy this couch at IKEA, notice it's desirable and then take the time to do that bit of sewing. It will make putting the cover on somewhat easier.
The couch is white (inner lining sort of white); the cover is dark gray. The places you won't be able to see, once it's assembled, are not covered by the gray.
The piece left bottom is the left arm, and the other thing is the back and seat, covered and joined. The white triangle on the arm matches the triangle on the seat and back. We were about to flip the arm up and bolt it on.

Once you have the cover on, bolting it together is a piece of cake.
