Today, no shivering (so far, knocking on wood!!).
I was asked to call in a report to the vet today, but had enough to say that I wrote it and delivered it. (That's the short story; we won't go into the arguments with the soon-to-be-replaced printer!)
Aside from no shivering (hooray!), today has been very much like yesterday. A bit too sleepy when asleep, but nice slow easy respiration. Alert and eager and waggy when awake. Eager to eat.
I took him for a walk around the block.
Just like yesterday, he gave one bark. This time I was looking at him, and it seemed to me that he was surprised, and that it hurt. He coughed after the bark, shook his head, snorted a few times..... And didn't bark again............ That was on my report to the vets as the only question -- is it possible that this all has been something to do with his barker? Something caught in his vocal cords? Or something?
Again his (very limited) output on the walk was very pick-up-able, though soft and slimy.
Our block goes down and up. When we climbed back up, he stopped and panted. It is a very pleasant day, but warm in the sun, and the "up" is fairly steep. (Yesterday I took him around the block across the street, which is flat, so I didn't see how he was on a hill.) He's clearly not himself, but I will definitely take a little better each day!
With the no-shivering, today has been the best day he's had in a week and a half.
Yay.
