yet another Wibb update

.

I picked him up from the vet at 6:30.

They said that his temp had been normal all afternoon, and otherwise he seemed ok.

The plan is that I will take him there tomorrow evening to have his temp checked. If it's normal, we'll continue until the antibiotics are all finished, and if not, his regular doc will be there tomorrow night and we'll talk about what to do next.

He is definitely not himself.

It's been a traumatical few days; perhaps that's why he is acting a bit subdued.

One thing to put into the "things learned" category -- he's on antihistamines all the time for his congestion issues. I mentioned that to them on Sunday night, but they did not give him any antihistamines while they had him. Today they made a point of mentioning the volume of snot......... My reply -- "Well, yes, that's perfectly normal for him.............." Especially when he's been off his antihistamines!!!

So the lesson is -- when anyone who is taking regular meds at home goes into the hospital, someone needs to see that they get those meds while in the hospital.

!!!

The disconcerting things are the "guarded" as his prognosis :-( and the fact that the gauze under his vetwrap was saturated with blood. His leg wasn't still bleeding, but clearly it had bled significantly. I've never seen that before. All those times Buzz had an iv catheter, there was never more than a few drops of blood on the gauze.................

I'll mention it when I take him in tomorrow...................

It's been strange to have no dogs. These couple of days have been the first time in nearly 30 years that there's been no dog...............

Surely hoping he continues to feel better and better............

Feeling kinda scared and unsettled......................
