I thoroughly enjoyed the opening ceremonies. Nice job, Vancouver! Super use of projection!!!!!!
I think my very favorite part was the whales "swimming under the stage," complete with spouts.............

The Harlot said she wasn't casting on until the torch was lit.
"Ok" thought I, not paying attention to the fact that the torch wouldn't be lit until midnight......
I did go ahead and wind off half of each of my balls of yarn, so I can knit with two strands. This is dk yarn ("worsted weight"). Knitting with two strands of this fat yarn on huge needles is definitely stepping outside my 000 sock-yarn comfort zone!
I have no idea what size the dp needles are, but the circular is a 13.

Kinda guessing I'm going to be using up a huge amount of this on swatching. I sense that my Olympic knitting experience is going to involve ... shopping........
I took a whole bunch of pics of flowers at the grocery yesterday, and photoshop is calling, but I'd better get knitting!
