fixed

.

You may recall that someone chewed through the pocket of my fleece jacket to get at a milkbone it contained.

I blogged it here -- in November of 2008........

This is the inside of the jacket....

I said, back then, that it would be an easy fix, and it *was* an easy fix. It just took me 16 months to fit it into my busy schedule....... On Wednesday I decided the day had come, and fixed it while I watched Mythbusters.

I am happy with this fabric. I can't remember when or where I got it. It may have been a garment..... Or not.

Isn't it excellent to get a peek at the cool fabric from the outside of the jacket when the zipper is open?

And now I have two usable pockets again. Yay.

In other excellent news, Wibler had his annual checkup today, and all is well.

Rationally I knew it should be. He has had Every Test in the last six months, and all of them were negative.

But something somewhere inside was a bit jittery about it.

His vet said everything is fine. She gave him his rabies shot, and told me he should have a shot for leptospirosis, too, but I declined to get two shots in one day. Next month we can go in and get the lepto.....

Today is a gorgeous day. The first day I've left doors open for a bit.

Wibs and I walked before (to empty him out) and after (for pleasure) his vet visit.

It's supposed to be rainy over the weekend, so it was good to get out now and enjoy the sunshine!

Glad that the checkup went well. Is there lepto there? We don't give it and our vet doesn't recommend it.

We've had allergic reactions to the vaccine in our own dogs.

Thanks. Me too!

Definitely lepto here. I remember several years ago there was a new strain which killed dogs in this area. My vet practice sent out postcards asking people to please come in and get the new shot, even though their dogs had had the older lepto shot....

They are just fine with pushing back distemper for adults, but they really want 'em to have the lepto.

I do have it given separately, hoping that reactions to it are less likely if it's the only shot they get that day......
