Our house was built immediately after WWII. Several of the interior doors still have glass doorknobs.
You'll have noticed I'm not a lace-and-chintz kind of person.
But ya gotta appreciate what happens when the evening sun goes through these doorknobs.

!!!

Just over two hours after I took the doorknob pics, Wilbur and I ventured out into the neighborhood.
Savoring the later crab apples.....

Wow.

It was getting darker, and harder to get decent images. I wanted to show you this large apple tree, but having proper exposure for the house and the ground means the sky is blown out. I could have cropped it out, but I wanted to show how tall the tree is......

Big tree, small house. I like the sunburst arrangement of siding on the front of the roof over the front stoop.

Here is where a very small white curly dog came up, all on her own, to meet Wilbur. I called out to see if anyone was near, but got no answer, so I rang the doorbell of the house she was nearest. Right about then a man came around from the back of the house. I asked if it was his dog, and it was. He was effusively grateful. I told him it was no more than I'd hope someone would do for my dog, were he out on his own.
The man introduced himself, and said that she must have sneaked out and that she had JUST had a bath, so she didn't even have a collar on. And thanked me again.
I was glad she was safe and home, and that my level of obligation to help her had dropped to zero.
Spotted in her yard -- white lilac. It was dark-ish, and there was a wind. In order for the lens to stay open long enough to catch an image, it couldn't close quickly enough for that image to be sharp.

Ok, can we do anything with a blurry image?
This one has been palette-knifed (in filters/artistic). Then I raised up the amount of yellow, to give the centers a bit more personality than they actually had.
I'm not thrilled with this, but I like it better than the original.
The chartreuse stems going out of the image in the lower left are one of my favorite parts......

Suburban strawberries.

I absolutely love glass doorknobs and the character they bring to a home. And I love the photos you took of the knob and of the light.
Thanks!
My first house was built in1880, and it had some small touches to die for. The hinges..... Wish I had pics of them. Designs all over them.....
This house is pretty plain, but does have the glass doorknobs on some doors.
I don't remember ever noticing the light like this before. The way it looks ... folded ..........
Wow. So glad I noticed it! :-)
Love all your pics and love how you are so clever in fixing them up. They turn out so beautifully. Love, absolutely love the light from the glass doornob. I'm full of love today!
Thanks, Lorraina! :-)
I have been using Photoshop Elements for six years. It can do A LOT. I am very familiar with some parts of it, but I know there are things it can do that I have no idea about.
I really enjoy messing with my pics and finding something I can be pleased with in images that, otherwise, I think are boring.....
:-)
Full of love is a good way to be.....
