Spent-rose star.
West Park, still totally torn up.
I never see anyone working here.
It does change, from time to time, but the pace seems barely faster than glacial.
Daylilies.
I love the old-fashioned orange ones, but the newer ones are growing on me.
Especially these red velvet ones.
After the red-velvet ladies of the court, here is the jester.
Bee balm.
Asiatic lily.
More daylilies.
Rose.
Balancing act.
I rather think this is loosestrife.

I just love your blog. I feel as if I get to walk through a nursery each and every day (minus the smell of course), which I adore. I have the red velvet daylilies (I planted them when we moved here) and I'm still on the fence about them. I'm just not sure on the color... but then again, I love jewel tones. Go figure. And ah, the asiatic lily. Love, love, love... and oh, that smell.
Aww. Thanks. :-) What nice things to hear.
Right back at you, you know. :-) Totally love stopping by for a dose of the donkeys. Love watching you and Don (and grampa, and Carson) interact with them, love watching them interact with each other......
Wish I could capture and share the scents, too. Milkweed smells good.....
I'm not as fond of the really big daylilies (like these) as I am of the ones with "normal size" (i.e. the same size as the old-fashioned orange ones) flowers.
When the first hybrid daylilies started to appear, there were so many pastels. I don't really do pastels, and I took a dislike to all of the "new daylilies." Now these red&gold and red&chartreuse ones are growing on me. And I have to admit that I rather like the purple&chartreuse ones, too, but don't know that I'd ever grow them.
I seriously love the red velvet&gold ones that have skinny curly petals....... I would totally grow those......... :-)
And yes, the asiatic lilies and their perfume.....................
:-)
