The University of Michigan is big on interdisciplinary studies.
Here's something new to me -- a class on bell making.
Engineering, art, music, technical writing............
I thought this article on the class was interesting.
Video at the end, including the students attempting "Jingle Bells" on their bells.

That was cool! There have been a couple of attempts to pour a bell at Lilies the past couple of years. The actual pour is the most spectacular part. (I don't think any of the bells have come out, since they use sand rather than a ceramic mold.)
I was the most struck by the safety equipment worn by the students during the pour. We wear tunics with a leather apron over it. SFSF
I bet you don't learn all about the physics of acoustics, either....
:-) :-)
I was struck by the video about the ... delay? is that what they called it? ... the length of time the tone continued to ring after the bell was struck..........
I never thought about that as an idea, but that video was surely a graphic demonstration of the concept and of the difference it makes..............
