I hadn't done this in a while. They brought the whole production right to my office building. I can, so I feel I should..............
Every time you go in there are more requirements. "Read this." "Read this, and this, and this, and this." Answer a million questions, eight times each. "You can only have been here for this amount of time, and you can only have been there for some other amount of time, and there are places you can never have been, ever."
Have I done *what?* No. Eeewh! Nor *that*, neither! Ick.
I appreciate how important it is to keep the blood supply safe, but giving blood is a very tiresome process. Even before they stab you.
I'm used to this stuff being called "vetwrap." Buzz had it on his wrist after his chemo, and it came in all sorts of colors. He looked particularly good in hot pink, I thought.
I don't suppose they call it "vetwrap" when a human gives blood.
I've never seen the human kind in anything other than beige.
I hope I didn't get betadine all over the inside of my shirt. I didn't think to wear a dark shirt...........

Good for you! I wasn't able to give blood for the longest, longest time because of my frequent travels to Africa.
They do get personal with those questions, don't they? Understandable, yes, but very personal. :)
There seem to be a bunch of African countries, now, on an "If you've been here, here, here, and there, EVER, we can't use your blood" list.
I suppose it is that they are coming up with more and more tests to check for blood-borne disease....
AIDS, then mad-cow, then ... I have no idea what..........
So interesting how it's "You can't have lived in the UK for more than X number of months, between the years of A, and B."
Apparently just a little exposure is ok?
And with the rest of Europe, it's longer, but is still there......
Seems like every day there are more and more restrictions, making me feel that if I can, I must....
But I'm not very regular about it.
