Iris.
Another maple tree's failed seeds. These are teeny, compared to the ones we saw yesterday! This is one of the trees along Fifth Ave., downtown, that has red flowers.
These seeds barely started, before they fell, compared to those much-bigger ones we saw yesterday.
Spirea.
It looks like each flower has a lot of anthers, but only a few are ready for business at a given time.....
This was higher than my eye-level, so I didn't get a look at its back. We have bugs that look a lot like ladybugs, but aren't. I *think* this is a ladybug, but won't swear to it.
