This is the only yellow magnolia I am aware of.
All the flowers were over my head; to get this shot, I held the camera over one of the flowers, pointed down, and hoped for the best. Love my little camera......

I have recognized many trees from their leaves, for years and years.
I am only just starting to know them in other ways. Like maple flowers, early in the year before the leaves show......
Someday, maybe, I'll know them by their shapes and bark, when they are naked.
