August 27 -- farmers' market, part 1

.

The lovely garden at the corner of my old block.

Cucumber? on the sidewalk.

Snapdragon.

This is for you, Jennifer, and for everyone else who's living in a parched place.  A reminder that it WILL rain, and green things WILL grow.....

Peppers.  Radishes.

FLOWERS!!!

Eggplant.

Tis the season for overflow tomatoes to find themselves on the floor.

Peppers and more peppers.  More tomatoes (and one lost pepper) on the floor.

Beets and cabbages.

Look at the light coming through from behind.........

Peppers and tomatoes.

Peppers!!!

Beans.

Didn't look at the signs, but I bet this is fancy basil.

Didn't look at the signs, again.  Thyme?, chives, ???

FLOWERS!!!

Five kinds of peppers.

Sunflowers, joining the tomatoes on the floor.

Beans.

Bunches of basil.  Pesto in the freezer, for a reminder of August when January grips us with icy fingers.

And watermelons.
