September 12

.

A little catch-up.  On the 10th, we bought macarons, from a French woman who makes them and sells them at the farmers' market.

Yum.

We ate the orange blossom one before I thought of pics, alas.

These are lime, and Speculoos (which is a Dutch ginger cookie) flavors.  We especially liked the Speculoos.

Yum.

On the 10th, we bought the ingredients for ratatouille. Eggplant, zuchini, peppers, tomatoes. My daughter was away during the day, so I was the one who ended up putting it together. My first effort, and a successful one, I am happy to report. We have enough for two more suppers, in the freezer.

I love eating all these vegetably things!

We bought boxes of different colors of bell peppers for the ratatouille. I used green, red, and yellow ones.  (I wish I'd thought to photograph it in progress, but apparently was too busy chopping.....)

There were two of these chocolate? peppers.

Isn't this excellent?

I didn't even think about how shiny it was, and about what would happen where the ribs of the placemat reflect on its lower surfaces.

But I like it.

Later, walking.

Autumn clematis.
