October 11

.

The hill that is the horizon, from my office window.  I think it's impossible to exaggerate how yellow that closest tree is...........

Portrait of a russet apple.

The whole week preceding (and including) the 11th was perfect, weather-wise.  Clear, blue, 70s......

My window is open, so I can savor the perfection.

I don't know if you can see the steam from the black kettle.  It rose, curling higher, and then went right on out the window, as though it wanted to savor the weather, too.....

Rose.

Maple in West Park.

Windows at work that open? Now that's a foreign concept down here. One I wish we had ...

I know, weird, eh?

We totally lucked out -- it's a historic building, and they were required to keep those windows opening, just like they did when it was built....

Not only do they open, but they are immense -- 4'x8', or something like that. Truly amazing. And wonderful.

Honestly, you should go into the greeting card business or something. :) Beautiful pictures, Vicki!
