October 5

.

Another gorgeous day. Looking north, over the post office.

Morning glory, with someone else's variegated leaves.  Look at the morning glory stem twisted around th eleaves, top left-ish.

Weed.

I have no idea what this little shrub is, but I'm quite fond of it.

The shape of the leaves.  The teensy flowers.

It looks like there are two sorts of flowers.  Wondering if this is male flowers and female flowers?

Wow, eh?

Walking home, after work.  Of course this caught my eye.  It's orange.

Then I saw this.......  (Image flipped for easier reading.)

Leaned up against a tree is not a usual place for a bike.......  (It was still there the next day, too.  I wonder what its story is....)

Walking Wibbler.

Hydrangea.  Love the white flowers against that darkly mysterious red background.

Excellent big maple.

Yellow.

Autumn clematis.

Elderly wood and brick steps.

Another excellent hydrangea.

The same Japanese anemone we looked at the other day.

Red maple leaves, glowing red in the late-afternoon light.

Ephemeral seasonal decor.

You need orange, and you found orange. (The petals on that amazing flower look like upsidedown hearts.)

They do look like upside-down hearts, don't they?

I should go back by that plant today, and see what it looks like now......

Orange -- always good. :-)

I loved those hydrangeas, too. I think of you every time I'm looking at hydrangeas..... :-)

I hoped you'd see the seasonal decor. I just taped up a bunch of new ones about half an hour ago. :-)
