The hill west-southwest of my office.
Gingko, in the sunshine.
Big round planter-in-the-sidewalk, full of fancy grass.
I think the yellow is the grass flowers.
Closer. I wonder what the evolutionary purpose of the long "hairs" is......
Seed head, older than the prev, I bet.
Grass, with shadows.
The U is working hard to get people to be healthier. They are doing all sorts of things to encourage healthy behaviors.
On the 6th, they brought a small farmers' market to campus, to make healthy food easily available.
I bought a golden delicious apple, and a pimento pepper.
I don't eat grocery-story golden delicious apples (too mealy!), but a nice local one from the farmers' market? Yum.
Pimentoes are very sweet and tasty.
On my way home. Looking north on 5th Ave. at the yellow trees.

Nice colors! I know what you mean about grocery store apples... it's a rarity to find ones that aren't mealy.
Silly me... I honestly don't think I've ever seen a whole pimento pepper - ever in my life - until just now!
Loving the color, right now. Sort of ... desperately ... soaking it up, against the long monochrome time to come....
Our local apples are SO good, just now. I ate one of the russets from the market a few minutes ago. Mmmmmm. :-)
I have never seen pimento psppers except in Spanish olives. Except at our farmers' market. :-) They are sweeter than regular bell peppers.....
