Walking downtown to a retiring colleague's farewell lunch.
Someone had been doing some serious tree trimming. This image reflects the actual orientation of this cut. Isn't it interesting that the rings are fatter at the bottom? I suppose that's to support the weight of the branch.....
I think this paint was rolled on to cover graffiti.
I'd have to work a long time to get this excellent stormy sea effect...... Love the way the texture/thickness of the paint contributes to the effect.
Downtown. Intentional art piece. Love the gorgeous wood slices, and like the contrast with the mirror bits........
I think the dark red is a more effective background for the wood, but too many reflections on the shop window to show the plan as well as the prev. In this one you can see that these pieces are framed.
After lunch it was pouring down rain. Very luckily for me, someone else who was also not working on the 14th offered me a ride home. Thanks, Laurie!
