Philadelphia

.

My better half and I are in Philadelphia, so he can play bridge in the ACBL summer national tournament.

I had a bunch of posts lined up before we left, but making an actual blog post, with photos, evades me when I am on the road.  I haven't done one lick of photo triaging........  I have a netbook with me (a very tiny slow and weak computer).  I can't do any messing-with-pics.

I haven't decided what I think is the right way to blog travel.  The right way for ME to do it, I mean.  I am in
awe of Mary Ann Moss and her sister Carol Mulvenon who both manage gorgeous blog posts from exotic locations.  (They just got back from Norway.  I heartily recommend visiting and scrolling down, so you can enjoy their trip.)  They demonstrate clearly that excelling blogging while traveling is totally possible.

It escapes me, though.

I have, in the past, put up text posts, and then back-dated the illustrated posts after I get home and can mess with the pics.  This time I was so far behind on the "regular posts" that I had several lined up for before we left.

I guess I'm going to go with this flow this time, and not post Philadelphia posts until we get home.

Or maybe I'll decide to post a very long verbal post one of these days.  It's supposed to be near 100 today
and tomorrow, and I'm getting tired of venturing out into the H O T and ending up dripping and dehydrated, so maybe writing long blog posts is a way to stay entertained here in the nice cool hotel........

We have done a lot of wandering in the historical district, and I spent Saturday in the art museum, as it was raining..........  Thinking of another big museum today, if I can determine one that will suit, so I don't end up wandering from tiny old house, to tiny old print shop, to tiny old guild hall, only to discover this one has two (2) furnished rooms, and that one is interesting but a one-trick pony, and the next isn't open on Mondays....

One gets spoiled by Washington (DC), where the museums are huge and each has TONS of things to look at, think about, do.......

The art museum here in Philly is definitely huge, but I haven't figured out anything else on that scale.....

Anyway.

If the posts from here are sparse or non-existent for the next several days, that's why.
