Yet another HOT day. At least we had power. We discovered that our power was back on, about three hours after we left home for the Red Roof. We were glad to be at the hotel. Given the prediction for a low in the high 70s the night of the 6th (and the fact that we don't have air conditioning), we were glad to stay where there was air conditioning (even though the a/c was really loud).
We checked out of the Red Roof at 11:00 on the 7th (enjoying every last minute of cool we were entitled to). It was HOT at home. 86 on the ground floor where the thermostat is, and probably nearly 10 degrees hotter upstairs. But with ice, and fans, and a promise that it would be 64 the coming night, we were able to manage.
Definitely way too hot to cook, though.
