Today I got my zostavax.

I think it's just nasty, for viruses like chicken pox to play hide and seek with your immune system for so long that your immune system has time to forget who they are and how to deal with them!

Then they come out, decades later, and make a lot of people quite miserable.

I was sorry to learn that the vaccine only works for about half the people.  That sounds to me like a lot of people still getting shingles (though, supposedly you often get a more mild case if you've had the vaccine).

Sheesh!

I wish I'd had it a few months ago, so I could get my flu shot now.  I don't want them right on top of each other, so I'll wait until the end of October to get the flu shot.
