The 25th was such a nice day. More walking.........
My daughter asked me "What is that big yellow tree in the park?"
I didn't know, so we walked into the park to see if I could identify the tree on the right.
Clue one -- looks like hickory.
I found some nuts and hulls under a picnic table near the tree, which clinched the id. So glad that we haven't yet chopped down all the big old trees.................
There's only one sweet gum I'm aware of in the neighborhood. It still has leaves and color.....
