Here's the version of this we looked at for December 22.  (This is probably not quite original -- I bet I lightened and saturated it a bit.....

Posteredged.  Note what happened to the sky.  This is why I like to posteredge the "all but sky"....

I eliminated the sky from the posteredging.  Note that this avoids all the black specs in the sky, *and* has the effect of making the rest of the color a bit warmer.... 

Now, just because we can, let's take the saturation for a ride.  (This is not the far end of where that slider will go........)

Now let's posteredge the "all but sky"......

I like it.  It reminds me of an old "linen" postcard...............

I like the way all the warmth in the brick came up..............
