I believe I saw an anvil cloud today.

We've been having very up-and-down weather -- sunny one moment, and pouring rain a few minutes later.

When I came home between walking the dog and walking me, I saw a lot of very tall clouds in the north. I left the dog in the house, and left the camera, too, in case it poured rain while I was walking me.

In the north, I saw the leading edge of an anvil cloud........... My neighborhood doesn't allow for the "big sky" view you saw if you clicked through the link above, so I didn't see the whole cloud.

I was glad those clouds were not close to me, and were not coming my way.

And I was glad my better half was playing bridge, rather than golf.............
