robin sighting

.

Just now, as I ate breakfast, I saw a young robin on our patio.  I was sure it was young, because it was speckled (it was the size of an adult).  Then I saw an adult, with something in its beak, looking for the young one.  They found each other in the weeds, and the adult fed the young one (clinching my belief that it was young).

Of course I don't know if that was one of "our" babies, but the adult had a lighter place, as though a band of feathers were missing across its chest.  One of "our" adults had that mark.....

I was glad to see the youngster, and glad to know that one of this year's babies has made it thus far!
