.
Here's a part of the feedback I got for the final exam I took on Monday.
Hmmm.
Note that I did not check the third statement as being true, and that my failure-to-check is marked incorrect, but no credit has been removed.
Something Is Wrong.
I as I looked over the exam, I continued to believe that third statement was NOT true.
In any case, if they're going to mark it incorrect, they should take (fractional) points away.......... Having decided part of my answer was wrong, they should not have given full credit for this question.
I reported this, and when I look at my exam feedback now, it shows that failure-to-check the third statement was correct (just as I thought).
I haven't heard anyone else say anything about faulty grading, so maybe it didn't happen to anyone else. On the other hand -- I reported this privately, because my report included a screen shot that showed the actual text of the question. Maybe the same thing did happen to others, who also reported it privately.
Who knows. Speaking as a programmer, I think this is weird. I wonder how it could have happened.............
