It was a wet and sloppy weekend. On the 11th, it rained all day. Not too hard, thank goodness. I wondered what would happen if all that snow melted in two days, but that didn't happen.
You can see how wet the sidewalk is -- the light behind the little oak is reflected by the wet sidewalk.
I'd rather have it be really cold than be slushy. The sidewalk was an obstacle course of lakes and ice............

I was worried about that rain, too -- with the sewer drains clogged up with snow, would we be flooding. So far, so good, and now it's cold again!
I was very glad that the rain stayed light, rather than pouring down and melting all that snow!
I am much happier to walk in the cold than have to dodge all of the lakes on the sidewalk. And Bert agrees. :-)
