playing with an iconic image

Of course flowers do not provide the only color at the grocery.

Someone took the trouble to line up all the soup cans......

I decided to cut off the right most ones, because they weren't facing right toward me, and I added some black at the sides.  I also used the "correct camera distortion" filter to make these more the same size and orientation.

Here they are with a poster-edges filter -- it shows the shadows more.

I tried all the filters, and didn't find anything that looked very interesting.

So I went after the color.  I selected one soup can at a time, and pushed the hue slider....

It was mildly amusing to play with these -- but -- it just looks wrong in any color but red, doesn't it?  The other colors might be good for some other product, but for tomato soup?  No.
