It's hard to see what's going on here. The top diagonal is where the far edge of the street meets the plowed-off dirty snow. At the bottom is the snow in the lawn extension next door, with a glimpse down to their sidewalk, bottom, right. The black stuff in the upper right is a small tree in front of a much bigger tree's shadow. The shiniest bits are the street.
What I wanted to show you is sunny glare on an icy street......
Much better to look at this, eh? This is very similar to the one I bought a few weeks ago, but lacking the excellent hen-and-chicks element that sold me, the last time.
Again, I love the smoky green with the baby pink. Like the purple touches, too, and the orange makes it.
Closeup of one edge of a bouquet very similar to the one above. It was blurry, alas, so I have watercolored it. Love the shapes and colors........
Home from the grocery. Today we went to the bread-and-milk grocery, not the big one. It was way too small and crowded to try to walk inside, so I braved the outside.
Hooray for blue sky in February!
The 22nd was NOT a good day for a walk. While I could find reasonably safe footing most of the way around my mile loop (alternating between street and sidewalk), the last bit had far too many places where the streets AND the sidewalks were totally ice. Nerve-wracking..........
There is lots of water running downhill, as you might guess. The drains at the bottom must be more available than could be feared -- the water doesn't seem to be accumulating in the street at the very bottom of the hill(s). Yay.
