Shame on whoever made this decision! Spelling is enough of a PITA without this sort of thing going on!
Standards are Good, but people making those standards have a moral obligation to make those standards as simple and sensible as possible!
Sheesh.
Very glad to live in an era with spell-checkers, so I don't have to waste valuable mental storage space on memorization of this sort of wrong-headed nonsense.
