If I lived at the beach, I would know the names of the shells, the birds, the pebbles....

It never occurred to me until I saw this image of a drop of sea water (magnified) that it would be cool to know about all the minute plants and animals in the water.  Cyanobacteria!  One of the pioneers of photosynthesis -- still plentiful in our oceans, still making oxygen for us to breathe.......
