June 2, peony garden, 2

.

Peonies and more peonies!

Looking back toward the entrance to the peony garden, and just a bit beyond that, the entrance to the Arboretum.

Turning about 90 degrees to the right of the above -- the new women's hospital.  I don't know if any of these windows are patient rooms, but wouldn't it be nice to look out at the peonies?

These are the only peonies I saw that had flowers so heavy the stems couldn't hold them upright.  Look at the sturdiness of the bamboo stakes -- the rest of the plants had less substantial stakes.

You can see the stem, bent over, struggling to hold up this flower.

People weren't the only ones enjoying the peonies.
