more info about languages spoken in the EU

Here's another interesting post from the same site -- this time about second, third, and fourth languages spoken by people who live in the EU

It was interesting to see which languages are "the second language" for people in the EU.  It's not a surprise, given how many people can hold a conversation in English, that English is the second language for so many. 

This topic reminded me of the way my daughter and I were able to have conversations in French, when we were in Italy, that we couldn't have had in English or Italian..........  Between us and our Italian hosts, French was our best common language on more than one occasion.
