top 10 new species for 2014

It seems odd to me that they'd be announcing the list of "the top 10 new species found in 2014" now, when 2014 is barely half over..........

But here is the list.  Interestingly, it includes a 2-kilogram carnivorous mammal, a tree, and a gecko, as well as some much smaller critters.  I've always wondered what was the smallest thing that can fly deliberately.  The Tinkerbell fairyfly "measures just 250 micrometers (0.00984 inches)"!  Way smaller than the tiny things I've seen flying.......
