December 20

.

We had breakfast here for the first time in a while.  Schedules have not permitted it for the last several weeks.

They used reclaimed wood to make some of the seating, and some of the decoration.  You can see the irregularity in the shadow.

Farmers' market.  We got Braeburn apples, and cider.

Little kid in hand-made "Viking" helmet.  My brother is gnashing his teeth -- Viking helmets did not have horns on them.  In fact -- the whole point of helmets is to be protective in battle.  You want your opponents' blows to slide off, not get caught on some gratuitous projection!

I think I must have had the camera on some weird setting.  All my shots of the kid above were blurry, and so was this next one of wreaths waiting to go home to adorn houses.  I've poster-edged it, which may have helped a little....

Poinsettias at the grocery.  These must be pretty happy here.  They've been in this corner for weeks, and still look good.  (Unhappy poinsettias don't look good for long.)  As you can see, they're right by the windows.
